Obituary of Constance "Connie" Joan Gilsdorf
Constance Joan Miles was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 3, 1957. She was one of three children born from the union of the late Thomas Miles and the late Trula (Greer) Miles. Connie attended Monroe Schools graduating high school with the class of 1976.
For several years, she was employed by Monroe Bank and Trust as a Proof Operator and then for 21st Century Communications as an operator for their answering service. Connie married the love of her life Albert L. Gilsdorf on October 23, 1992 at the Ida Firehall. Connie was employed by Monroe Public Schools as a lunchroom aide for twenty-two years. During her career, she assisted in the cafeteria at Lincoln School and at the Arborwood North facility before taking a medical retirement in 2015.
Connie had no qualms about being in charge and in fact was the ultimate hostess and cook. She enjoyed family parties, holidays, and birthdays, but basically just getting together for any reason or no reason at all. She was a wonderful mother and a doting grandmother always believing in their abilities and forgiving their shortcomings. Connie loved to laugh and had a special touch with all those around her. She was a huge Elvis fan.
