Obituary of Wade Sharp

Wade Sharp was born in Torrance, California on September 20, 1959. He was born from the union of the late Kenneth Sharp and the late Donna Mae (Goins) Sharp. He grew up in California and Michigan attending Monroe High School. Wade enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1978 and would serve his country honorably. He met the love of his life the former Nilda Austria while stationed in North Carolina. The couple would marry on April 14, 1982 in Clyde Ohio. Wade accomplished much in his twenty-two years with the USMC. For many years, he served in recruitment and training of recruits. He was an expert with the rifle and pistol, and was placed in charge of the armory arsenal. Wade served as the Toys for Tots Director of both Michigan and Ohio. In 1999, under his direction a record number of toys were collected for his regions. He retired in 2000 with the final rank of E-8 First Sergeant. He was very skilled with his hands. Wade enjoyed woodworking and wrenching on cars. He had rebuilt from scratch several over the years, including a 1989 Iroc Z, Pontiac Freebird, and a 1965 Camaro. As a young man he enjoyed riding his motorcycle before an accident and a concerned spouse convinced him to hang up his boots. For many years, Wade was a member of the Newport Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3943. Wade was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and pet father to his three dogs: Lola, Duke, and Kimmy. He was very generous, although he always seemed to try and talk people out of their requests before giving it to them anyway. Wade loved to watch NCIS and Criminal Minds reruns and most recently had taken to the game Clash of the Clans, which he played with son-in-law: Michael, where he was the leader of "U Mad Bros".
