Obituary of Stacy Lee Bellmore-Byrne

Stacy Lee Bellmore was born in Monroe, Michigan on June 24, 1972. She was the daughter of Steven Bellmore and Virginia (Evans) Bellmore. Stacy attended Monroe High School graduating with the Class of 1990. She continued her studies at Monroe County Community College earning an Associate of Science Degree in 1992. For many years she worked at Mercy Memorial Hospital as a Histology Technician. Stacy loved animals. She enjoyed reading novels and gardening. She was gifted with a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers in her yard. Stacy could be quite determined and set in her ways. She was known for her prim and proper personality and a smile that could warm any room. In 2008, Stacy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although, she had always been passionate about life her illness gave Stacy a new lease on helping others. She volunteered at many events and causes supporting others in need. She was part of several studies at the U of M always hoping to be part of the cure. She attended both Crosswalk Church and Monroe Alliance Church. Her faith in Christ kept her strong on her path and provided her with the ability to lead others. Recently, Stacy enjoyed the trip of a lifetime. She traveled to Myrtle Beach with close friends, experiencing all her hearts desires along the way. Following her quest she often said that she could cross that off of her bucket list. Stacy Lee Bellmore-Byrne, age 44, of Monroe passed away Saturday evening at her home. Her passing was preceded by her maternal grandfather: Leaford (Tom) Evans. To cherish her memory she leaves two loving children: Collin Byrne and Ryleigh Byrne; her parents Steven and Virginia Bellmore; three siblings: Heather (Barry) LaRoy of Monroe, Amy (Jeff) Guthrie of Monroe, and Travis Bellmore of Monroe; and five special nieces and nephews: Noah, Grant, and Megan LaRoy, and Delaney and Daniel Guthrie. Also, maternal grandmother: Maxine Evans Friends may gather from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Friday, October 28, 2016 also at Merkle’s with Pastor Galen Grulke officiating. Private burial at Gethsemane Cemetery in Monroe will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to a memorial fund established for her children at PNC Bank.
