Obituary of Diane Lea Olson
Diane Lea Mattimore was born in Fremont, Ohio on February 8, 1953. She was one of three children born from the union of the late Richard Mattimore and the late Alma Mae (Wickerham) Mattimore. Diane was a 1971 graduate of Bedford High School.
Diane was owner and operator of Caring Hearts Daycare for over twenty years, retiring in 2014.
Diane married Edward Olson on April 30, 1988 at St. Luke's Church in Temperance, Michigan where she received her spiritual upbringing.
Diane was independent with an incredible will and determination. She had a caring and nurturing spirit about her. As an avid dog lover, Diane rescued many pets over the years. She was an awesome cook and enjoyed sharing her favorite cuisines with friends and family at her pool parties.
In her quiet time, she enjoyed playing stimulating games on the computer or keeping up with her many friends and family on Facebook.
Diane Lea Olson, age 63, of Erie passed away on September 6, 2016 at her home unexpectedly. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her sister-in-law: Shirley MacFarlane; and her aunt: Mary Louise Parsons.
To cherish her memory, she left behind her husband: Edward Olson; her daughters: Traci (Shaun) Taylor of Hilliard, Ohio and Krista Gardner (Adam Goldsmith) of Temperance; her son: Craig (Christina) D’Arcangelo of Beaverton, Oregon; her brother: James (Kathy Longo) Mattimore of Ann Arbor; her sister: Lisa (Dennis Pankop) Mattimore of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Brendon, Bryce, Valerie, Michael, Tyler, Drew and Rylie and her beloved canines: Chloe and Streak.
