Obituary of Gerard "Randy" Randall Toro

Gerard “Randy” Randall Toro was born in Monroe, Michigan on March 10, 1995. He was the only son, one of four children, born from the union of Gerard Edward and Kimberly Michelle (Sobus) Toro Jr. Gerard attended Jefferson High School. For the past year, Gerard was employed by Ventower Industries in Monroe as a welder. He loved his position and the opportunity to build things with his own hands. Gerard made the most of every moment and tried to live life to the fullest. He was always fun to be around, telling tall tales, and being well-known as the “life of the party”. Gerard loved to be outside. His enthusiasm extended through all of his loves: hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and everything motorcross. He also was a huge Derby fan. Football season was Gerard’s favorite time of year. He avidly kept up with the Pittsburgh Steelers looking forward to every play. Gerard appreciated good old “Family Values” and cherished the time he spent with nieces and nephews. He often shared his artistic side as an artist with his ability to draw. He enjoyed jamming to his music loud and family movie nights. Gerard Randall Toro, age 21 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2016. His passing was preceded by his maternal and paternal great grandparents, and Uncle: Randall George Toro. To cherish his memory Gerard leaves his parents: Gerard and Kimberly Toro Jr.; three sisters: Cortney Toro (Chris Roman) of Monroe, Britney Toro (Damon Barnes) of Monroe, and Christy Toro (Zach Machus) of Taylor; paternal grandparents: Jerry (Robin) Toro Sr. of Monroe maternal grandparents: Walt (Beth) Sobus of Monroe; one niece: Brynn; two nephews: Blake and Zander; and one aunt: Kelly (Scott) Ziegler. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 11:00am on Monday, September 12, 2016 also at Merkle’s. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery for burial.
