Obituary of Dianna Lee Dyke

Dianna Lee Viers was born October 7, 1953 in Monroe. She was one of 13 children born from the late Everett Viers and Shirley (Grames) McKibben. Dianna attended Airport High School in Carleton. She employed as a cook for Monroe Diner and Monroe Country Club for years prior to her employment as a Cashier at Pilot Travel Center and taking a medical retirement in 2001. Dianna was well respected by others as a faithful and loyal friend. With her nurturing and gentle spirit, she was like a mother to everyone and cared for so many. Her family was most important to her and she enjoyed whipping up meals and desserts whenever they came to visit. Dianna was amazing at crafting and shared her talents with others. She could make almost anything out of nothing; from clothing, to dolls, to candy and much more. Dianna loved to dance and “Get Down;” winning many dance contests and often tried her luck at bingo and was quite successful.
