Obituary of Irvin Trouten

Please share a memory of Irvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Irvin Oliver Trouten was born in Monroe on September 17, 1935. He was one of four boys born from the union of the late Frank Trouten and the late Lucy (Navarre) Trouten. Irv attended Hall School on Stein Road in LaSalle. On February 16, 1957 he married the love of his life the former Dorothy Rochowiak at St. Joseph Church in Erie. Irv supported his family for more than twenty-seven years as a truck driver for the Ohio China Company. He is best known, however, for his work for LaSalle Township. He worked in maintenance for more than twenty years. His main responsibility was assisting his wife Dorothy with the township cemetery. Irv had a heart of gold. Although Irv enjoyed watching others, he was never to busy to offer a helping hand. He was an avid outdoorsman whose love extended from hunting to fishing. Fishing was his favorite pastime, and he could be found casting a line wherever there was a body of water. Irv had a warm smile and a wisecrack whenever you seen him. Irvin O. Trouten age 74 of LaSalle, passed away at 2:50am, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Fountainview where he had been a patient for several weeks. The family had received care from Mercy Memorial Hospice. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by a brother Carl Trouten in 1973. Irv appreciated the time that he spent with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of more than fifty-two years Dorothy of LaSalle; five beloved children: Sandra (Raymond) Dahl of Monroe, Theresa (James) Hunter of Marquette, Randy (Denise) Trouten of LaSalle, Brenda (J.R.) Berns of Newport, and Brian (Tracie) Trouten of New Boston; nine dear grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and two brothers: Richard (Rosella) Trouten of LaSalle and David Trouten of Waterford.
