Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Larry Ferguson was born in Canton, Ohio on November 2, 1953. He was the son of the late James Ferguson, Sr. and the late Vera Householder. James served his country honorably while enlisted in the United States Navy. He settled in Monroe moving from California in 1989 and married the love of his life Rosemary Kaufman in 1990. For twenty-five years, James worked as a computer consultant for various firms including IBM. James was an avid golfer and computers and camping were also his passion. He and Rosemary loved to travel and did so frequently. James liked to camp. But as he aged he enjoyed the finest technologies in his campers, and they became more and more modern. His most recent hobbies included boating and RVing. James bowled in several tournaments as an amateur bowler. He had a crazy sense of humor, which only he and Rosemary seemed to appreciate. James also had a knack for assigning a nickname to everyone he met. James was a wonderful provider and an excellent husband. He always treated his family well, and cherished the time spent with them. James was extremely proud of his grandchildren. He also had a special place in his heart for his furry friends: Clementine, Kati, and Matilda. James Ferguson, age 58 of Monroe passed away at his home unexpectedly at 12:40pm, Sunday, February 26, 2012. His passing was preceded by his father: James Ferguson Sr. and his mother Vera (Householder) Scholl.
