Obituary of Edward Soncrant

Edward John Soncrant July 23, 1957 - September 6, 2011 Edward John Soncrant was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 23, 1957. He was one of five children born from the union of the late Gerald H. Soncrant and Ruth M. (Mocadlo) Soncrant. Edward graduated from special education classes, and made his home in Adrian for most of his life. Edward was a good and loving son and brother. He was very easy going and loving. Edward was simple, happy, and had a pure love for people. He was especially fond of his sister's cockatoo, "Corey". Edward was a staff and resident favorite of McAnally Adult Foster Care where he had resided for the past thirty-five years. Edward John Soncrant age 54 of Adrian passed away at 12:30am, Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his home. His passing was preceded by his father. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him best. To cherish his memory he leaves his mother: Ruth M. Soncrant of Monroe; three brothers: Charles Soncrant of Montana, Douglas Soncrant of Monroe, and Michael (Lisa) Soncrant of Monroe; one sister: Patricia Soncrant of Belleville, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and one great nephew. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 where a funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. Father James Smalarz pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will officiate. Cremation will follow. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe. Memorial donations for those who desire are suggested to Hospice of Adrian or a cancer society of choice.
