Obituary of James Nicholson
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Ross Nicholson was born in Wayne, Michigan on September 13, 1972. He was one of two children, the son born from the union of James Ross Nicholson and Jean (Foley) Nicholson. He was a 1990 graduate of Monroe High School. James lived in Monroe for most of his life although he resided in Rockwood, Illinois for a brief stint.
For more than fifteen years James had worked as a paint booth operator for the Chrysler Corporation. He was a proud UAW member.
From the time that he was born, the Nicholson Family knew that Jamie was going to be extreme. He was fearless and never afraid to take charge. James always put his heart and soul into the things that he did, and his adventurous spirit allowed him to live life his way.
Jamie's heart was also larger than life. He had a soft spot for others in need, and he especially was proud of his daughter, Somer and cherished the time that he spent with her. He was a loving son, brother, and a fantastic uncle to his niece and nephew. He had a love for the ocean and for animals. His true passion however was for his Harley. Jamie you could say was born to ride.
James Ross Nicholson age 38 of Monroe passed away at 11:34pm, Friday, August 12, 2011 in the Emergency Room of Mercy Memorial Hospital.
His memory will forever be cherished by his daughter: Somer Nicholson of Monroe; his parents: James and Jean Nicholson of Monroe; sister: Terry (Jim) Thomas of Monroe; niece: Symone Thomas; a nephew: Zachery Thomas; and longtime friend Denise Singleton.
