Obituary of Donna Hazlett
Please share a memory of Donna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donna Jean Hazlett was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan on September 26, 1956. She was the daughter of JoAnn Kennedy. Donna was adopted by her grandparents the late Joseph and Dorothy Hazlett. She obtained her GED from Monroe Adult Education.
Donna had a love for people. She enjoyed conversation and just general interaction. This love led to two very different careers. She worked for more than fifteen years as a waitress for Detroit Beach Pizzeria and Restaurant. Later she took employment with the United States Census Bureau as a Field Representative. Donna retired in March of 2011 for medical reasons. Donna's interaction with others was just limited to face to face contact. She could talk up a storm on the phone as well.
Donna enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, and putting puzzles together. She was an avid online shopper, and she typically spent money on everyone but herself. Donna also had a passion for items that were spicy hot. She could often be found testing her taste buds with atomic fireballs and hot tamales. Donna shared her home for more than thirty years with her fiancé: Roger Czupich.
Donna Jean Hazlett age 54 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, August 6, 2011 after a lengthy illness. In addition to her grandparents: Joseph and Dorothy Hazlett she was preceded in her passing by an uncle: Joe Hazlett; one brother: Jim Kennedy; and one sister: Debbie Kennedy.
