Opal Mae Wyreman was born in Lynch, Kentucky on July 31, 1930. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late Howard Wyreman and the late Maude (Bussell) Wyreman.
She married Earl Hall Sr. on August 12, 1948. Opal worked in food service for many years. She had been employed as a waitress and cook for several local companies including Nortel Lanes, Marian Place, and at one time the Hall of Divine Child.
Opal enjoyed the company of friends, and she appreciated a good game of cards. She was particularly fond of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Spoiling her grandchildren and her great grandchildren was by far her favorite pastime. When she was younger she enjoyed manicuring beautiful flower gardens on her property. Later in life she enjoyed watching television and as of recent was a fan of Desperate Housewives and Ally McBeal.
Opal Mae Hill age 79 passed away at 1:55pm, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for more than a year. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her former spouse Earl and two brothers: Richard and Howard Wyreman.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter: Mary J. (George) Rugila of LaSalle; a son: Earl Hill Jr. of Westland; six sisters: Mary Braden of Ohio, Nada (Dan) Braden of Monroe, Annabell Thompson of Monroe, Betty Jean (John) Wandt of LaSalle, Agnes Jones of Monroe, Michigan, and Ezra Pete of Monroe, Michigan; seven grandchildren: Brett (Christina) Hill, Andrew (Khrissy) Budzios, Kelly (Jim) Trainor, Jennifer (Rob Lee) Budzios, Eric Rugila, Stephanie (Joe Standridge) Rugila, and Nicholas Rugila; and twelve great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place through Roselawn Memorial Park Crematory in LaSalle. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, Sunday; November 7, 2009 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 4:00pm with the Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Private Inurnment of her cremains will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.
