While living in Monroe she assisted Jack in building their house boat, "Aquapix". They launched on their first voyage on September 24, 1956. "Aquapix" would serve as their home for the next ten years. They crewed a shrimp boat and traveled the Caribbean. They later owned their own plane and also operated an aircraft delivery service between England and South America delivering small planes to farmers. Their travels included Cayenne, French Guiana, Lima, Peru and many other exotic locations.
