Arthur William Yensch was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 25, 1950. He was the son of the late Robert Joseph Yensch and the late Elzora Mary (Thibert) Yensch.
Arthur attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a graduate of the Intermediate School District. Arthur had a wonderful personality. He enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, dancing, bowling, and just all around socializing. Arthur loved his family. For many years he was a resident of Elm House before settling at the Lewis Home. Arthur especially loved being a part of the community.
Arthur William Yensch age 61 of Monroe passed away at 4:06am, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by four sisters: Helen Fugerson, Shirley Lajiness, Jacqueline Gotha, and Margie Marshall.
He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers: Robert (Sandy) Marshall of California, Kenneth Marshall of Monroe, and Thomas (Pat) Marshall of Monroe; one sister: Bonnie (James) Preston of Florida; his niece and best friend: Barbara Lajiness; and many other nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather from 11:00am until 3:00pm on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 3:00pm with Father Stephen Vileo pastor of St. Mike's Church officiating. Private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
