Matthew Charles Preadmore
January 10, 1979 - March 9, 2009
Matthew Charles Preadmore, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2009 at his Frenchtown Township home.
Matthew C. Preadmore was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 10, 1979. Matthew was the son of Michael Joe Preadmore and Debra (Gibbons) Fix. He was a 1997 graduate of Monroe High School. After graduation Matthew enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served proudly for four years, while enlisted he received specialized training and worked as a mechanic. In 2001 Matthew received an honorable discharge.
Following Matthew's discharge, he continued his work as a mechanic for Schneider National. In 2007 Matthew left Schneider and was employed as an apprentice by Local 671 Plumbers and Pipefitters for the last eighteen months.
On August 27, 2004 he married Amy Bondy at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe. He was blessed with two sons, stepson Lucas Bondy and son Charlie Preadmore.
Matthew enjoyed the great outdoors, which included fishing, especially salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and charter boat trips. He also loved deer hunting. Matthew was a sports fanatic and loved all Michigan sports teams. He loved the Pistons, Tigers, Red Wings, and Wolverines to name a few. Matthew and Amy enjoyed attending hockey games together. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July, because he was very patriotic and loved the fireworks.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Amy and sons Charlie and Lucas; parents Michael Joe (Susan) Preadmore and Debbie (Michael "Abel") Fix; brothers Michael (Angie) Preadmore and Jacob Fix; sister Stacy Preadmore and lifelong friend, Josh Ellison, all of Monroe.
Friends may gather from 12:00 noon-8:00pm, Friday March 13, 2009 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 where a scripture service will take place at 4:00pm. He will lie in state Saturday, at St Michael Catholic Church from 9:00am until a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am. Father Marc Gawronski, pastor of St. Mary's parish, will officiate. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe for graveside services under the auspices of Monroe VFW Post 1138.
