Obituary of Jean Lamborn

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jean Currie Watt was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 21, 1928. She was the daughter of the late John Watt and the late Jean Fleming (Douglas) Watt. After marrying Bruce K. Lundquist they made their home in Dearborn and Jean became a homemaker. Jean took these responsibilities very seriously and after Bruce's passing she became even more devoted to her children. She faithfully attended Dearborn Chapel with her family. Jean was a great mother with a strong faith in an omnipotent God and she was the spiritual leader of the family after her husband's death, instilling in her children the importance of relying on the Lord. She often read her Bible and taught Sunday School. Jean married Harry Lamborn and she would make her home in Port Sanilac for thirty years. Jean was very welcoming, generous, friendly, and loving. She loved to help others. In Port Sanilac she worked with the VFW and the area Commission on Aging. She faithfully delivered Meals on Wheels no matter the weather. For enjoyment she would "lunch out" and socialize with church friends. She moved to Monroe six years ago. Jean age 84 passed away at 10:40pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Fountain View of Monroe. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her two husbands, and a brother: Bill Watt. To cherish her memory she leaves two children: Sandra (Terry) Henning of Monroe and Bruce (Gina) Lundquist of Monroe; seven grandchildren: Bruce (Anna) Henning of Detroit, Will (Hannah) Henning of Lansing, Bethany Henning and her fiance Sam Shamoun of Troy, Dayna (Jason) Huntley of Nashville, TN, Ashley (Scott) Ely of Monroe, Ryan Lundquist of Monroe, and Shelby Lundquist of Naples, Florida; five great grandchildren: Liam, Moira, Ruthie, Griffith, and Carter. Friends may gather from 3:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, February 24, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am, Saturday, February 25, 2012 also at Merkle's with Andrew Willis presenting the message and Terry Henning her son-in-law eulogizing.
