Thomas Colburn Carr III was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 12, 1980. He was the son of Thomas C. Carr Jr. and Corrine (Calkins) Carr. He attended Monroe High School earned his GED. After high school Thomas obtained his CDL.
Thomas worked for several different local companies as a laborer including Bay Corrugated and Sygma. He currently was employed by James Langton Construction.
Thomas loved the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed the thrill of a motorcycle ride on his crotch rocket. Thomas was especially fond of his family and cherished the time he spent with his four children. He always expressed his affection with a quick kiss and an "I love You" when walking out the door. Thomas liked to visit the park with his children, and together they would view the wildlife and take photographs. His three young nephews looked up to him as well. Thomas as an individual was fun, sweet, and full of life. He enjoyed the company of his many friends.
Thomas Colburn Carr III age 30 of LaSalle passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident. His passing was preceded by his paternal grandmother: Nova Weder.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents: Thomas and Corrine Carr Jr. of LaSalle; a maternal grandmother: Marjory Calkins of Monroe; four children: Alida Carr of Monroe, Brendon Faunce of Monroe, Madalyn Carr of Newport, and Colin Carr of Monroe; one sister: Sara (Kenneth) King of Ida; two brothers: Tyler and Trevor Carr both of Lasalle; and three nephews: Kenneth Jr., Samuel, and Josiah King.
Friends may gather from 12:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the North Monroe Street Church of God, 2393 North Monroe Street. He will lie in state from 10:00am until a Celebration of His Life at 11:00am on Friday, June 17, 2011 also at the church. The Rev. Rick Massingill pastor of the church will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 was entrusted with his arrangements.
