Ronald William Vincent September 26, 1953 - February 28, 2011 Ronald William Vincent was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 26, 1953. He was the son of the late William Angus Vincent and Roseline (Bomia) Vincent. He graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1971. Ronald was employed by Tenneco Automotive for ten years as a research engineer. Later in life he returned to school and Ronald earned a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. This was a feat he was extremely proud of graduating in December of 1996. Ronald took a medical retirement in 2000. For more than twenty years he made his home in the Toledo area. In 2005 he moved back to Monroe to live at the Norman Towers Apartments. Ronald enjoyed riding the Norman Towers shuttle just to get out and see the sights and visit with others. Ronald was a beloved brother, a fun loving guy, and he always looked forward to family functions. It was even rumored that he appreciated free beer. Ronald was witty but often sarcastic. He loved listening to music, and he was an excellent guitar player. Ronald also enjoyed Wednesday morning breakfasts at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, yearly trips south to Florida, and his ice cream and toffey. Ronald W. Vincent age 57 of Monroe passed away at 3:16am, Monday, February 28, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. His passing was preceded by his father William. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Kevin Vincent and Matthew Vincent both of Toledo; his mother and stepfather: Roseline and Jean Paul Lachance; five brothers: Donald (Robin) Vincent of Monroe, Daryl (Pam) Vincent of Washington, Dennis Vincent, Larry (Tammy) Vincent, and Jeff Vincent all of Florida; one sister: Darlene (George) Chinavare of Monroe; one stepbrother: Michael (Cindy) Lachance; and two stepsisters: Sue McKnight and Debbie (Mike) Beczynski. Friends may gather from 11:30am until 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street in Erie (734) 848-5185. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 3:00pm with the Rev. Bruce Crabtree pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe officiating. All are invited back to the LaSalle Township Hall immediately after the service to share a meal in Ronald's honor.
