Obituary of Gloria DeJonghe

Gloria Francine DeJonghe December 14, 1958 - February 13, 2011 Gloria Francine Rich - DeJonghe was born December 14, 1958 to the late Otis and Delores Rich. She attended Inskter Public Schools and later moved to Monroe, Michigan where she met and united in holy matrimony to David DeJonghe in 2005. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and began her humble journey through life touching many people on the way. She was employed with Lake Erie Transit where she was so excellent at what she did that she was chosen to do an advertisement for them. Her beautiful face is on a couple of the transit buses and is seen all around town in H.D. Gloria was known for her great sense of humor, contagious laugh, that beautiful smile and her awesome strength. Gloria departed this life on February 13, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband David; 6 daughters: Anika, Angela, Keri, Mary, Cassarra, and Ariel; son: Deshean; 11 grandchildren; three sisters: Jennifer, Cassandra, Joan; 5 brothers: Micheal, Stephen, Rodney, Darryl, and David; her mother in law: Sharon DeJonghe; 7 sister in laws; 3 brother in laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives who dearly loved her. Friends may gather from 10:00am until 2:00pm, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 N. Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Alfred Overstreet officiating.
