Obituary of Kimberly Sandy

Kimberly D. Sandy July 1, 1965 - May 23, 2008 Kimberly Dawn Sandy, age 42, passed away unexpectedly Friday; May 23, 2008 in her home. Kimberly was born July 1, 1965 in Los Angeles, California to the union of the late W.R. Sandy and the late Shirley (Stephens) Sandy. She attended school in the Downriver area and graduated high school in Taylor. She had been married to John S. Katinsky. Kimberly had a passion for life and good times. She will be remembered as extremely outgoing. Kimberly was an avid Detroit Red Wings Fan; a self declared "Wings Nut". She also enjoyed crafts. Family and Friends may gather at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township, (734) 384-5185; Monday June 2, 2008 for a Celebration of her Life at 1:00pm. Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services, Livonia. She leaves to cherish her memory a son: Mark Katinsky of Lincoln Park, Michigan; a brother Glen and Tommi Horn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her best friend: Mary Rickrode of Monroe; a former spouse: John Jeffrey Katinsky of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and a beloved Guinea Pig: Rusty. She was preceded in her passing by both her mother and father.
