Obituary of Anna Tallman

Anna K. Tallman June 29, 1918 - April 10, 2008 Anna Kathleen Tallman, age 89, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the home of her daughter Cecile and son-in-law Robert. Anna was born June 29, 1918 in Cheboygan, Michigan to the union of the late John McKay and the late Ellen Leveque. She married Ferris Dale Tallman and together they had seven children. For many years Anna worked at Greenfield Village and Dearborn Inn in Dearborn. She had lived in the Allen Park area for more than forty years. In 1982 after her husband's passing she moved to Florida with her sister. She had lived in North Fort Myers since that time commuting back to Michigan during the warmer months. Anna enjoyed playing games. She especially enjoyed scrabble, bingo, and cards. Gardening also was a passion of hers. She leaves to cherish her memory five loving children: Regina Cutting of North Fort Myers, Florida; Dennis and Susan Tallman of Southgate; Cecile and Robert Schulte and Denise and James Silsbe both of Monroe; and Donald Tallman of North Fort Myers; two daughters-in-law: Janet and Linda Tallman; thirteen grandchildren: Aaron, Adam, Anne, Kelley, Paul, Steven, Christopher, Martin, Richard, Barbara, Brian, Niesa, and Stacey; and fourteen great granchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Dale and Dean; her husband; her parents; and eight siblings. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township, (734) 384-5185 was entrusted with her arrangements.
