Obituary of Brian Elko

Brian Glenn Elko May 10, 1978 - February 16, 2008 Brian G. Elko, age 29, of Flat Rock, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2008. Brian was born May 10, 1978 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Ricky and Nancy (Kasza) Elko. Following high school Brian acquired his Paramedic license. Over the years Brian worked for several different EMS Providers in Monroe and Wayne Counties including: Superior, Promedica, Medic One, Concorde, Healthlink, and Hart EMS. Brian took his career very seriously and constantly sought new knowledge. In 2006 he obtained his Critical Care License while attending class in Chicago. He had also attended Henry Ford Community College. Brian enjoyed listening to music and especially playing the guitar. He also had a passion for sports especially golf, and role playing games such as Paint Ball. Brian enjoyed watching movies. Brian leaves to cherish his memory his father: Ricky Elko of Crown Point, Indiana; his mother: Nancy Kasza of Las Vegas, NV; a sister: Breanne Elko of Las Vegas, NV; five uncles: John Kasza of Las Vegas, Bill Kasza of Las Vegas, Bob Elko of Panama City, FL, Mike Dorris of Southgate, and Christopher and Danielle Dorris of Southgate; and one aunt: Penny and Bill Todd of Livonia. Friends may Gather from 3pm until a Celebration of his Life at 7pm, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, (734) 384-5185. Cremation will follow through Southern Michigan Services, Livonia, Michigan. In the lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association or to the wishes of the family.
