Queenie Easter Love
January 10, 1935 - January 31, 2008
Queenie Love, age 73, died at 6:45pm, Thursday, January 31, 2008 at her London Township home. She was under the care of St. Joseph Mercy Hospice. She had been ill since September of 2007.
She was born on January 10, 1935 in Montgomery, Alabama to the union of George Billups and Jettie Mae Ivory. She married Earl Love in Bowling Green, Ohio.
She worked for more than 29 years as a patient transporter for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. She retired in the late 90's.
She was a devoted member of the Al Overstreet Evangelistic Ministries in Monroe. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and playing cards.
There will be no public services. Cremation has taken place with Southern Michigan Services, Livonia.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter: Gwenetta Love of Maybee, and an adopted son her nephew: Elroy "Jamal" Love; nine siblings: Jettie Mae, Betty Mae, Mellissa, Doris, Willie James, Leon, Bobbie, Charles, and Martha. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother: George.
