William Roger Poff
February 16, 1955 - September 14, 2010
William Roger Poff was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 16, 1955. He was the son of William Poff and Jurlean (Hensley) Poff. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and had attended the community college.
For more than twenty-five years he was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a press operator.
He married Cindi Poff in July of 1998 in LasVegas, Nevada.
William had a great sense of humor and he was the life of the party. His smile was beautiful and it seemed to fill the room. William was known to be very generous to others. He loved music and he enjoyed playing the drums and when he danced he moved like a feather. He enjoyed the old TV series Rifle Man and John Wayne westerns.
William was a member of Masons and Shriner's Monroe Lodge No. 27, the Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge #884, and the National Rifle Association. For a short period of time he owned the Center Stage Music Store. He loved to travel and visit the Greektown Casino.
William Roger Poff age 55 of Monroe passed away at 10:30pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at his home.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife: Cindi; his parents: Jurlean and William Poff; sister: Peggy Sue (Poff) and Darryl Freeman; brother: Roy K. and Constance Poff; brother: Wallace C. and Tammy Poff; a niece: Shae and Thom Blackburn; and a nephew: Cody Poff.
Friends may gather from 4:30pm until 7:00pm, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 7:00pm with the Rev. Larry Head pastor of Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
