Lawrence Calvin Emerson November 14, 1961 - February 15, 2012 Lawrence Calvin Emerson, 50, of Monroe, Michigan passed away February 15, 2012 at Fountain View after a lengthy illness of heart failure. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. There will a memorial service at Monroe Free Methodist Church at 3900 East Dunbar, Monroe, Michigan at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012, by Dave Burnett. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements. He is survived by his wife Christine; two daughters Sarah (Vern) of Monroe and Marci (Victor) of North Carolina; two sons Richard and Ezekiel both of North Carolina. Two stepdaughters Sheena Hill (Phillip) of Monroe and Hope Walters of Arizona; one stepson Michael Pennington (Kate) of Florida, and seven grandchildren David, Xavier, Kylee, Tristan, Jakobe, Victor and Christopher and an unborn granddaughter Nakiya. He is also survived by his mother Judy Carter of Erie; sisters Trilby (John) Krumm of Luna Pier, Lisa Emerson of Monroe, Shannon (Al) Sargent of Erie, Murnia (Bruce) Syrigley and Susan Emerson both of New York and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both fathers and his brother and a sister. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the family.
