Jennie Loretta Bost Jan. 20, 1916 ~ Nov. 5, 2007 Her Farewell…Friends may call from 12 to 8 PM on Thursday at Merkle Funeral Home 2442 N. Monroe St. Monroe with a Scripture Service at 6PM and from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 9, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 2996 W. Labo Rd. Carleton, MI until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Bob Bauer officiating. Burial will follow at Michigan Memorial Park. Her Legacy…Jennie L. Bost age 91 of Carleton, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:35 PM at her home with her family by her side. She has been ill for a long time and is now at peace. Born January 20, 1916 in Greenfield, MI she was the daughter of Alfred and Bertha Siterlet. She married Herman E. Bost on January 13, 1940. Jennie's beloved husband Herman (Ed) passed away June 27, 1987. Jennie was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Church for over 60 years; where she faithfully took all nine of her children to Church whenever the doors were open. Jennie had a deep and devoted love for people. Her family came first in her life. She also was an avid bowler, but had to quit at the age of 86. Anyone who knew Jennie also knew her love for her flower garden. Her Family…Loving Mother to her two sons; James E. (Jackie) Bost of Trenton, Richard H. (Hiromi) Bost of Texas, seven daughters; Barbara J. (Ron) Doster of Dexter, Margaret (John) Waltbillig of Carleton, Kathy A. (Les) Burnett of Indiana, Loretta M. (David) Burnette of Carleton, Dorothy E. (Bill) Costello of Dundee, Edith L. (Sam) Frank of Flat Rock and Sharon L. (Salvatore) of Newport, 53 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jennie was preceded in death by her grandson, James Bost Jr., her granddaughter, Jamie L. (Bost) Fater, her mother, her father and 8 siblings.
