Obituary of Mildred Kuras

Mildred "Millie" Kuras March 24, 1924-August 25, 2007 Mildred "Millie" Kuras, 83, of Sebastian, Florida died August 25, 2007 at the William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, Florida. Mildred and her husband John were formerly of Monroe, Michigan before they retired in 1989. Local memorial services for Millie have been set. Friends are invited to a Gathering held at the Merkle Funeral Home on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 1-4:00pm. Father Marc Gawronski of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monroe will lead services at the funeral home at 2:00pm. A Private family inurnment of the cremains will take place at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Mrs. Kuras was born March 24, 1924 in Petersburg, Michigan the daughter of William and Lucille Terry. She married Dr. John W. Kuras on June 14, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida, Michigan. Recently, Mildred and John celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Kuras graduated from Dundee High School and attended the Detroit Business Institute. She was employed by Ford Motor Engineering in Dearborn for ten years. Millie left Ford to serve as the Office Manager of Kuras Dental Health Associates for nearly thirty years before they retired in 1989 to Florida. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, reading, traveling, and using her computer. In addition to her husband: John; she is survived by sons: Dr. Terry Kuras and Douglas J. (Carie) Kuras of Monroe, Kelly G. Kuras of Lake Forest, California, and a daughter: Kim (Peter) Yanchyshyn of Troy, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: William Terry.
