Beulah Cecil Clark June 2, 1927 - January 12, 2010 Beulah Cecil Word was born in Bumpus Mills, Tennessee on June 2, 1927. She was one of two children born from the union of the late Thomas Word and the late Hattie (Sampsal) Word. She married Herschel Clark in Detroit, Michigan on June 26, 1943. Beulah stayed at home and raised their three boys. Beulah Cecil Clark age 82 of Monroe passed away at 2:35pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Lutheran Home of Monroe. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her husband Herschel in 2007; a son: Larry Clark; and a brother: James Word. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: David Clark of Monroe and Gregory Clark of Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Charlotte, Camryn, and Hayden Clark of Monroe, Tracey, Cody, Candy, Amy Clark; three great grandchildren. Friends may gather from 4:00pm until 5:00pm, Friday, January 15, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 5:00pm, Friday with Pastor John A. Schinkel chaplain of the Lutheran Home of Monroe. Cremation will follow and burial of her cremains will take place at the Crow Hill Cemetery in Bumpus Mills, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Lutheran Home of Monroe.
