Robert "Bob" Arthur Koch
April 1, 1928 - June 20, 2016
Robert "Bob" Arthur Koch was born on April 1, 1928 in Richmond Hill, New York. He was the only child born from the union of the late George Koch and the late Florence (Osborne) Koch. Bob served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1946 to 1949.
Bob married the love of his life the former Alice Riley on June 11, 1950 in Long Island Floral Park, New York. From this union was the birth of four beautiful children. He worked to support his family as a doorman for an apartment complex in New York. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and playing pool. Bob was always up for a good game of rummy and watching horse races. He often spent time outdoors fishing with his friends and family.
Robert "Bob" Arthur Koch age 88 of Southgate passed away at 10:50 pm, Monday, June 20, 2016 under the care of Heartland Hospice. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by his beloved wife: Alice and brother: George Koch.
To cherish his memory, Bob leaves four children: Linda Earhart of Carleton: Elizabeth Daniel of Cannon City, Colorado: Margaret Delezenne of Southgate, Michigan: and Robert (Kimberly) Koch Jr. of Ridge, New York; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holley, Michigan 48442. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service 2442 North Monroe Street Monroe, Michigan (734)384-5185.
