My husband and I send our condolences to Coba's family. I worked with Coba at Mercy Hospital in the sixties and we kept in touch with phone calls and cards. I used to see her at the grocery store from time to time. What a sweet lady Coba was...always. We each had a son die and many times we comforted each other. I am so sorry that we can not attend her services, we are now in Florida and do not come back to Monroe until Thanksgiving week. I loved Coba and treasure the time I knew her. God will have a special place for her in Heaven. I will never forget Coba. May God Bless you, Betty, and the rest of your family.

Gene, Roger and family, just wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss. I will keep you all in my prayers. You know I would be there with you if I could. But as you may or may not know I am staying in the Cleveland area for awhile due to Homer's transplant surgery. So, although I will not be there in person I will be with you in thought. Love and Prayers, Judy

Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you are reminding yourself what a wonderful job you did in caring for your mother. I know she knew how much you cared even though you needed to be apart from her for the last several days. I will see you at the funeral home. Take care of yourself Jill

We all loved Colby, she worked with my Grandma Ruby for many years at Mercy Hospital, and was also related to us.When my Mom Janice (Keck)Hatfield was in the hospital right before she died July 2009 Colby called my Mom's hospital room and I spoke to her and she wanted to make her chicken and dumplings, she knew it was my Mom's favorite and she was so sweet and concerned about Mom,even at her age she wanted to do something to help make Mom feel better,Colby loved Mom and my Grandma Ruby and she was a good cook. When Mom died she came to the Funeral Home,I sat by her and we talked, that was the last time I saw her,but later I called her for a good place to find Kentucky Runners-a green bean known by people from the South ,now the beans are here in the North, which my Grandma Ruby took credit for bringing them here.It saddens me to know this fine generation has passed and things just aren't the same without them.I will always remember her calling my Grandmas house and them talking on the phone a lot,and catching up,Colby loved to talk to Ruby, and Grandma loved to talk.My heart goes out to all who love her,she was a very sweet lady, who will not be forgotten.
