Obituary of Jeffery Thoma

Jeffery William Thoma was born April 30, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio. He was one of four children born from the union of Beverly (Kerr) and Gary Thoma. He attended St. John the Baptist grade school and graduated from Monroe High School in the class of 1982. Shortly after graduation, he spent a few years living and working in Florida before returning back home to Monroe. Jeff lived his life full of gratitude and love. He was generous, always quick to offer anything he had to others especially his family. Jeffery William Thoma, age 51 of Monroe passed away on Thursday night, March 31, 2016 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Joseph and Evelyn Thoma; maternal grandparents: Harold and Evelyn Kerr; and a brother Gregory Thoma. To cherish his memory, Jeff leaves his parents: Gary and Beverly Thoma; his sisters: Kim and Julie; and five nieces and nephews: Mack, Meredith, Millie, Amanda and Gregory. Friends may gather from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734)384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 11:00am on Monday, April 4, 2016 also at Merkle's with Deacon Mike Stewart from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating.
