Obituary of Patricia Schram

Patricia Joyce Valentine was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 10, 1933. She was born from the union of the late Stanley R. and the late Rita (Cherry) Valentine. Patricia married the love of her life, Arthur A. Schram on July 2, 1955. She supported her family working at various places until she was needed at home, raising their four children. The couple received their spiritual nourishment at St. Athanasius Church in Harrison, Michigan. Patricia was a member of the Anna J. Guild at St. Athanasius and was active with the Knights of Columbus. Patricia, or Joyce as she was sometimes called, was an active and caring woman. The joy of her life was her family - her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Since high school, Patricia enjoyed theatre, often going to plays whenever she was able. She loved having long conversations with people, always interested in familiarizing herself with folks around her. In always putting others before herself, she was able to lovingly care for her husband and the others in her life. She never let her arthritis pain keep her from taking the walks she enjoyed. Patricia Joyce Schram, age 82 of Harrison, Michigan, passed away at 2:15pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital, (formerly Oakwood Southshore). In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her siblings. To cherish her memory she leaves her loving husband of sixty years, Arthur; four children: Bryan (Shirley) Schram of Harrison, Brenda (Robert Kohn) Wright of Clio, Steven (Melinda) Schram of Virginia, and Katrina (Ed) Mason of Monroe; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
