Obituary of Bertha Miller
Please share a memory of Bertha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bertha Marie McMullen was born in Monroe, Michigan on March 16, 1926. She was one of nine children born from the union of the late Everett McMullen and the late Viola (LaVigne) McMullen.
Bertha married the love of her life, William Miller Sr. on May 4, 1946 in Monroe. She supported her family at home, raising their eight children and received her spiritual nourishment at Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe.
Bertha was strong willed and full of life. As an avid Tiger fan, she was thrilled to go to Tiger Stadium or simply watch them on TV. She appreciated the outdoors in her summer vegetable gardens or bird watching year round. Bertha enjoyed going to flea markets, playing bingo and euchre with her friends and family. She was devoted to her family and as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother she always made time for them. In her quiet time, Bertha could be found doing puzzles or reading her bible alongside her canine companions.
