Dale Carter Schnieder was born in Rock Island, Illinois on August 12, 1964. He was one of six children born from the union of the late Leander and the late Christina (Nylin) Schnieder.
Dale was a long-time member of Monroe Free Methodist Church. He married the love of his life, the former Jodi Jewell, on September 27, 2008. From this union, they raised one son, Christian.
He enjoyed finding hidden treasures at flea markets and garage sales. Dale was also very passionate about crafting. He loved to make cancer awareness ribbons and pocket crosses. This caring father and husband loved to spend time with his family as often as he could. He had a great relationship with his in-laws. Dale loved to watch wrestling and old westerns on television. He enjoyed following the Stand Strength Team, an anti-bullying Christian group out of Royal Oak, Michigan. In his pass time, he often tinkered on computers and other electronics,
Dale Carter Schnieder, age 51 of Monroe, passed away at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by two sisters: Janet Walker and Rose Mary Schnieder; and one brother: Delbert Schnieder
To cherish his memory, Dale leaves his loving wife of seven years, Jodi of Monroe; one son: Christian Jewell of Monroe; two sisters: Joan Yeggy and Tina Sears, both of Missouri, five nieces, three nephews, and two great nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00pm. Family and friends may gather at 11:00am at Monroe Free Methodist Church, 3928 East Dunbar Road, Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where Pastor Kevin Eccles will officiate.
