Obituary of Charles Everhart

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Douglas Everhart Jr. was born December 1, 1957 from the union of Charles Douglas Everhart Sr. and Demetria (Hooper) Everhart. For many years Charles worked in the construction industry. Charles enjoyed his work and he enjoyed working hard. He was employed as an electrician as a member of Local 58 based in Detroit. Charles married Debbie Sturk on November 15, 2001. From their marriage came a daughter: Susan Everhart of Ottawa Lake. Charles also had a daughter: Sheri Everhart and a son: Sean Everhart. He also had two wonderful granddaughters and four brothers and sisters. Charles true passion, however, was for others. He had a remarkable sense of humor, and he enjoyed sharing it with friends and family. This carefree ability led him to be the "Life of the Party", and quite the jokester. His favorite hobby was that of camping. He found many friends at various campgrounds and they enjoyed sharing stories by the light of the campfire. He also enjoyed singing karoke and playing the guitar. Those that knew him best referred to his singing as yodeling. Charles spent a great deal of time working at the campgrounds where he stayed. This included Camp Lord Willing in Monroe and the Covered Wagon in Ottawa Lake. Charles D. Everhart, age 51 passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. His passing was preceded by his father: Charles D. Everhart Sr. and also a son: Richard Everhart. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, (734) 384-5185 was entrusted with his arrangements.
