Judith Carolyn Armstrong was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 16, 1942. She was the one of three children born from the union of the late Denver Armstrong and the late Wanda (Dushane) Armstrong. Judy was attended Whitmore High School.
Judy married Don Gregory , She supported her family employed by the McIntyre's as a nurse aid. Judy lived life simply and had a happy go lucky spirit, always wearing a smile. She had a selfless heart, putting others before herself, caring and nurturing for those in need.
Judy appreciated spending time at the lake boating, fishing, swimming and walking the beach. In her quiet time, she enjoyed playing computer games and catching up with friends and family on Facebook.
Family was most important to Judy. She cherished time spent with her children, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy, age 73, of Monroe passed away at 7:21am on Thursday, August 2 7, 2015 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her husband: Don Gregory; a daughter: Nicki Gregory; a step daughter: Elizabeth Seibert; a son-in-law: Ed Payne-Sharpe (Wm) and a brother: Jack Armstrong.
To cherish her memory she leaves; two daughters: Dana Sharpe of Monroe and Rorie Braden of Monroe; five step children: William (Betty) Gregory of Toledo, Tom (Linda) Gregory, Norman (Bev) Gregory of Toledo, Connie Aman of Toledo, and Faye (Keith) Cornelius of Monroe; two sisters: Jean Gallapis of North Carolina and Idalia Herrera of Monroe; two step sisters: Dolly and JoJo; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan (734)384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 3:00pm, also at Merkle's with Pastor Roy Southerland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
