Marguerite Alice Wilburn
January 28, 1927 - August 24, 2015
Marguerite Alice Wilburn was born in Ansted, West Virginia on January 28, 1927. She was one of nine children born from the union of the late Jonathan and the late Frances (Hall) Eastman.
Marguerite married the love of her life, James Wilburn, on May 17, 1947 in Fayetteville, West Virginia. From this union, came the birth of one daughter, Debra.
Marguerite was a hardworking woman; she took care of the couple's home and raised their child. Her love of knowledge, especially in the health and wellness field, was surpassed only by her love of family and God. She was always active in her church in whatever capacity she was able to, serving for many years the Sunday School secretary. Marguerite Alice Wilburn, age 88 of Dearborn Heights, peacefully passed away at 9:42pm on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Oakwood Commons Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by three brothers: Charles, Norman, and Gerald Eastman, and three sisters: Ethel Roberts, Thelma Schoolcraft, and Zelphia Eastman.
To cherish her memory she leaves her beloved husband of sixty-eight years: James Wilburn of Dearborn Heights; her daughter: Debra (Leonard) Haden of Center Line, Michigan; four grandchildren: Rachel Beasley of Detroit, Rebekah Haden, Naomi Haden, and Benjamin Haden all three of Center Line; two brothers: Stanley Eastman of Jackson and Shirley Eastman of Jackson; and one sister: Audrey Riffle of Ypsilanti.
