Obituary of Arnaldo Ortiz

Arnaldo Ortiz December 26, 1963 -August 4, 2015 Arnaldo Ortiz was born in Miami Beach, Florida on December 26, 1963. He was one of seven children born from the union of late Armando and Oralia (Oyervides) Ortiz. Arnaldo shared twenty-nine years with his life long partner, Valentina "Juanita" Perez. Together the couple would share together in raising seven children. Arnaldo supported his family working construction. He was a hard headed stubborn man with a very kind heart and tried to live his life the best he could with what he had. Arnaldo had suffered many years from cirrhosis of the liver but still kept a good spirit always telling jokes and helping others that were in need. He was also known for being well mannered and always treated others with respect. Arnaldo Ortiz, age 51, of Monroe passed away at Toledo Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. His passing was preceded by his father. To cherish his memory Arnaldo leaves his beloved life partner, Valentina "Juanita" Perez; his mother: Oralia Ortiz; seven children: Jessica Blancarte of Winterhaven, Florida, Jesse (Courtney Champingne) Blancarte of Monroe, Anthony (Jessica) Ortiz of Adrian, Arnaldo A. Ortiz Jr. of Monroe, Efren (Jessica Jones) S. Ortiz of Carleton, Arcadio F. Ortiz of Monroe and Rachel; five brothers: Joe (San Juana) Ortiz of California, Armando (Matilda) Ortiz of Florida, Arnulfo (Lydia) Ortiz of the Upper Peninsula, Ornaldo Ortiz of Florida and Arturo Ortiz of Florida; a sister: Cecilia Ortiz of Florida; and eighteen grandchildren. Friends may gather from 10am until 11am on Tuesday, August 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church 127 N. Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48162. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11am, also at St. Mary's with Father Louis Lapeyre officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with funeral arrangements.
