Fremonte Ramon Hood was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 8, 1977. He was the son of Walter Kelly and the late Linda Hood. Fremonte attended Monroe Schools graduating with the Class of 1995.
For the past five years, Fremonte had worked as a Laborer for the Howard Ternes Company, an automotive parts supplier.
More than anything in this world, Fremonte was a proud and loving father to his twin daughters. He also had a heart of gold and was generous and helpful to all his family and friends. He liked the company of others and the challenge of a good game of cards. Fremonte had a great sense of humor, and was always fun to be around due to his ability to share jokes.
He was well known for his rapping and his love of shooting hoops. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bulls. Fremonte appreciated the outdoors riding his moped around town. In his free time he enjoyed going to the movies or watching his favorite TV shows "Good Times" and "Extreme Home Make-Overs."
Fremonte Ramon Hood, age 38 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at 5:15pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. His passing was preceded by his mother Linda Hood.
To cherish his memory, Fremonte leaves beloved twin daughters: Melinna Hood and Olivia Hood both of Monroe; two step-children: Audrey and Gabrillia Richardson; his father: Walter Kelly of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters: Jenin Parnell of Chicago and Chirisse Hood of Monroe; one brother: Cory Parnell of Chicago; brother-in-law: Dwayne Fenn; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Oaks of Righteousness Church, 1018 East Second Street. A Home Going Celebration will follow at 11:00am with Reverend Heather Boone pastor of the church officiating. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements.
