Obituary of James L. Cron
James L. Cron of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2015.
He was born May 24, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio the son of John and Mary (Keough) Cron. Jim grew up in Monroe and graduated in 1972 from Monroe High School. He was self-employed in the trucking business for a number of years, then worked in Houston Texas for about 10 years - in warehouse services for an area school district. Jim then returned to Monroe and worked as a truck driver until his retirement.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John (Jack) and Mary Cron. He is survived by his daughter: Cyndi King of Monroe; brother: Charles Cron of Monroe; brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Marla Cron of Kentwood; and niece and nephews: Audra, Eric and David Cron - all of Kentwood, Michigan.
Jim was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends - and with his dog Zoe. He was committed to family, and selflessly would do anything to help anyone. As one dear friend insisted should be said of Jim, "He was a great guy!", and he will be missed - but never forgotten!
