Obituary of Julie Manor

Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Julie Ann Manor was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 7, 1978. She was the youngest of two daughters of Mark E. Manor and the late Linda (Valerio) Manor. Julie attended Airport Schools and found a passion for performing arts. She enjoyed participating in drama before her graduation in 1998. Julie enjoyed serving others, and her sweet nature and outgoing personality lent well to starting conversation with complete strangers. She used her gifts by entering the health care field. She first became a Medical Assistant and later achieving her Certified Nursing Assistant designation through Stanford-Brown. Julie loved the company of family and friends. She liked to cook, and could often be found preparing large meals for special functions. More than anything, Julie was especially proud of being a mother to her two boys: Jacob and Clarence. Julie was a member of St. Mary Parish where she had served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. She was a sports nut; an avid University of Michigan fan, Julie also constantly kept up with her Detroit Tigers. She enjoyed traveling, and her favorite destination was the Caribbean. Julie Ann Manor, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the emergency department of Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her mother on February 23, 2013, her passing was preceded by her paternal grandmother: Ruth Ann Manor and maternal grandmother Margaret D. Valerio. To cherish her memory she leaves two loving children: Jacob Manor and Clarence Emmerson III both of Newport; her father: Mark E. Manor of Monroe; a sister: Jennifer Manor of Newport; a paternal grandfather: Edward Manor of Monroe; and maternal grandfather: James E. Valerio of LaSalle. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 where a Rosary Service led by Lori Bronson will be recited at 6:00pm.
