Shannon Marie (Cavins) Tymczak
July 1, 1971 - April 27, 2015
This is Shannon's triumphant journey! Being triumphant doesn't mean winning. Shannon was going to be triumphant whether she won or lost. There was no loser in this battle, either way she was going to win! In death she received the Lord's grace and mercy, as well as the kingdom of heaven! In death, she left a legacy behind that can be matched by few. She lived life to the fullest; laughed hard and played hard. Was a dedicated worker in whatever task she took on, whether it was work or planning a party for one of our girl's. No task was too large; anyone that has ever met Shannon knew where they stood in the first few moments of meeting her. She was honest, caring and loving. Throughout this journey she taught me never to give up in anything you do. How could I give up or quit knowing that every battle she faced could cost her life? She was courageous, fighting hard for eleven months. Most people would have quit half-way though this, but not her. She fought for me, for Caitlin Mitchell and Riley Mitchell. She did it because she didn't want to let us down. She is the most caring and selfless person I have ever met. To do what she did, to suffer in pain, agonizing pain for 4 weeks with no pain meds, not for her but because I asked her to keep fighting, knowing the outcome. She did it anyways. I can't imagine how she felt. I know she loved me because she did it. Without hesitation, Bravery, Shannon took on a cancer that she had no control over and battled like hell! She stayed true to herself and her values right to the end. I should be proof of her legacy. She taught me it was ok to love again, that I could enjoy life and be happy when I thought that was impossible. She taught me how to be spontaneous and trusting again. To be honest with each other even if the other person didn't like it. She taught me not to sweat the little things in life. She gave me a family. She saved my life, how can I ever repay her? So I want people to enjoy each other. Live, laugh and love! Because in the grand scheme of things we are only here for a short time. Yes her journey ended, but it will always be remembered. So I would like to thank a few people. Cleveland Kelly Robare-Palko, Heather Buczek Simmons, Kim Elliott Johnson, Valerie Dunn, Mellissa Vanderpool Vallie, Melissa Cavins-Martin, Jennifer Monday, my mom: Sheila Tymczak, my dad: Mike Tymczak, grandma Neane, Jean Savage Arnold, Rhonda Sexton Pogorzelski, Stacy Greenlee-Greenwood, Harold and Joe Cavins, and most of all Kathi Cavins. Kathi is an amazing women who did whatever we needed her to do with only one question attached, what time? That was a joke kath. I owe my life to Shannon Cavins-Tymczak. She was my soulmate. Now there is just a part of me missing. I am sad. I just found you and now I have to let you go. Life isn't fair, it hardly ever is, but it does go on. One day I'll feel better but not today. So I would like all of you to keep her legacy alive by just living life to the fullest. She did, and while I grieve today, tomorrow I will begin my legacy with the Shannon blueprint. Thank you Shannon you will always be in my heart, I love you baby and miss you!
Your loving husband, Michael.
