Chris had such a positive influence on my career. When I joined the law firm of Gardner, Shelfer and Duggar in May of 1984, I was fresh out of 3 years on active duty as an Army JAG and 6 months with the Attorney General's office. I knew nothing about a private law practice. Chris, as an experienced legal secretary, immediately took me under her wing - teaching me so much - and all the while with patience and kindness. Her knowledge and professionalism were without peer. I will never forget how much she helped me and how she did it all with a smile and encouragement.
