I had known Jim a long time. He was the kindest man in all ways. He made one feel like family. I would see him between long stretches and it was like we were never apart but a day. Welcoming each of us as family, his heart in full bloom. If you knew him, even for a moment, you were left feeling blessed to meet him. I am so sorry to see him leave us, the world is a little bit colder now. May God's love warm us in his absence. I bet Jim is riding the heavens and laughing with joy and serenity.

Q: What will you never forget about James?
A: I will always remember how he would try to scare all my boyfriends away. He said he was afraid they would take his Aunt Frankie away. Jimmy was my protector always. He had a heart of gold and lived each day to the fullest. He loved his family with all his heart and wanted to make sure his mom and dad was taken care of. He would call me for advice but never take it. I would say Jimmy why you calling and asking me for advice when you know you’re gonna do whatever you want anyway. If you had the privilege of knowing him, then you know you were never alone. He would always be there for you when needed with a smile of his face. Jimmy I will for ever miss your smile. Love Aunt Frankie

I'll never forget when Jim said he was going to buy my parents a camper. I asked him why he didn't spend the money on a house. His answer: I don't live there for me, I live there for mom. His heart was huge

Q: What will you never forget about James?
A: People like Uncle Jimmy aren’t common. He always had all the coolest pets! From iguanas to rottweilers. I think even I brought home a couple animals without asking because growing up, I heard stories that he did it and he got away with it (I did not have the same luck).
I’ll never forget when he brought a go-kart to the campground and chased after us kids.
I’ve never seen someone beat his Halloween Kiss costumes, they were my favorite.
It was really exciting watching him in the demolition derby’s.
I will miss you Jimmy and I know you’ll be having the best time in heaven.

James went by so many names throughout his life. To name a few: Jimmy, Jimbo, Jazbo, Oscar, Roscoe, Big Jim, and one that I would never speak aloud (Big Daddy).
One of my favorites was Oscar. He got that name from Sesame Street when he was very young. It wasn't because he was a grouch, it was because he ate everything he saw.
Being his one and only sister, I was tasked with watching him while our mom did household chores. I'll never forget the day my mom went to change his diaper and found stones in it. Oh, he had a mind of his own, and I'm going to miss it
I'll never forgot his Roscoe P. Coltrane laugh either. Jim loved roller skating, and the Dukes of Hazard made our Friday nights away from Skate Way much easier to handle.
Boy Jim, you taught me how to laugh, make friends, and enjoy life. You were the first child of my life and I'm forever grateful.

Q: How did you meet James?
A: I was 2 years old and I was the center of my family's universe. Before I knew it, here comes this cute chubby baby boy filled with smiles and a bunch of dirty diapers. I didn't know what to think of him at first. He was stealing my attention and I didn't like it, but he had a personality that was unbeatable. I couldn't be mad at him for long. Many nights I'd crawl into his crib because I wanted to be close to him and felt so guilty for my jealousy. No matter how mean I was to him, he was my protector, my love, and my teacher. Love you bro... thank you for always being there for me! You're forever in my heart.
