Obituary of James Ziegler

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James "Jamie" Anthony Ziegler Jr. was born in Monroe on June 23, 1976. He was one of three children the only son born from the union of James A. Ziegler Sr. and Mary (McMullin) Ziegler. James attended Monroe Schools graduating high school in 1994. He proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corp serving his country honorably through tours in Afghanistan and Kosovo. Jamie was a very hard and dedicated worker. For the past six years he had supported his family with employment as a Millwright for Local 1102. Jamie was well known for his kind manors and respect for others. He was helpful, considerate, and polite. Jamie loved to spend as much time with his children and family as possible. When he wasn't with them, you could be assured that Jamie was still concerned about them since he was the consummate worrier. James loved the great outdoors and nature. He was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. Jamie also loved to spend time on the greens enjoying a round of golf from time to time. Jamie was very creative and enjoyed challenging himself with new projects. Recently, he had been teaching himself to play the guitar. James "Jamie" Anthony Ziegler Jr, age 38, of Newport passed away at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center at 6:12pm on Thursday, January 1, 2015. In addition to his maternal grandparents: Edward and Edith McMullin and his paternal grandparents: Wade and Jeanette Maddox, his passing was preceded by great grandparents: Ma and Tony "The Kite Man" Ziegler.
