I really don't know how to express my sadness about the loss of Aunt Doris.
I remember the time's that Aunt Doris and Uncle M.G., along with my cousins: Stevie, Ronnie, Cheryl and Ricky came down to Tennessee to visit. One of my memories, was her sitting in the porch swing at Mammaw Russell's while I was entertaining Ricky by playing hide-n-seek or chasing him around those bushes in the front lawn while Stevie and Ronnie and our other cousins were out roaming the fields or making hay forts or swatting bees!
Aunt Doris' personality and laughter was infectious. She truly was a wonderful aunt.
Also, I am thankful that I was able to drive Aunt Mary up to Michigan to visit her in October of 2017. I know she truly enjoyed that visit because they talked about quilting the entire time.
Stevie, Ronnie, and Ricky, please know that I hope and I know all of you will find comfort in your time of sorrow. Just remember, Aunt Doris will never be forgotten because she will always remain in our hearts forever.
Love and Remembrance,
Donna Wilburn Free
