Obituary of Lynn Irby
Lynn Marie Roe was born on August 28, 1947, in Dundee, Michigan. She was one of four children and an adopted brother of George and Juanita (Williams) Roe.
Lynn met her high school sweetheart “Jimmy” while attending Dundee high school. She went on to marry him on September 21, 1963. Together they were blessed with the birth of four children.
Lynn understood the value of having an active, hands-on role in the daily lives of her children and family. She proudly cared for the needs of her family as a homemaker. Each day she was sure to provide a warm home-cooked meal for them.
The Irby Family lived on a farm, and Lynn was all too familiar herself with the work that was required. She herself became competent at driving, operating, and repairing all the farm equipment. Lynn was quite generous and always willing to help someone in need. She had an uncanny ability to just get things done.
Lynn loved classic country music, disney movies, fast cars, and Euchre. Traveling often with her husband supporting GM motor sports, Nascar and street outlaws before settling in Arkansas.
Lynn Irby, age 75, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Dundee, Michigan, passed away on Thursday; September 15, 2022, one week shy of her fifty-ninth wedding anniversary. Her passing was preceded by her parents and brothers Louis Roe and George Roe both of Petersburg, Michigan. Survived to cherish her memory are her Husband Jim. Three sons Richard (LeeAnn) Irby of Rogers AR. Robert (Tracy) Irby of Flushing MI, Barbara Irby Mumbauer of Rogers AR. Rodney Irby of Little Flock AR. Sister Kathleen Roe Cumby of Cookeville, Tennessee.Brother Martin Roe of Belleville, MI. Three grandchildren Robert Irby Jr. Tiffany Bradshaw and Monica Regan Mumbauer. Great granddaughter Tianna. Many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to assemble for a funeral procession at Noon on Saturday; May 13, 2023, beginning at Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156 and traveling to PleasantView Cemetery, Petersburg for graveside services.
