Emma Joann Eagle was born in Monroe, Michigan on March 18, 1950. She was the one of nine children born from the union of the late Joel G. and Betty G. (Lavigne) Williams. Emma attended Airport Schools and was a graduate of their high school. She was married by the Justice of The Peace in Monroe to Gilbert "Bert" Eagle on May 7, 1970. The couple would share in the birth of two children, and Emma devoted herself to her husband and children. For several years she worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center retiring in 2012. Her love for family was immense. Emma did all she could within her power to keep the family close, and was the rock of the family. She could be counted on to lend a hand whenever there was a need, and always seemed to know how to fix whatever was broken. Later in life, Emma's grandchildren, were her pride and joy. She always put them first and looked forward to spending time with them. Emma was very gifted with her hands. She loved to plant flowers and maintain her garden, and was an excellent baker, well-known for her Christmas cookies and pies. Emma also enjoyed playing games of chance; often visiting the casino and catching bingo wherever she could. Emma, age 64, of Monroe passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Her loving family was at her side.
