Obituary of Tami Sue Roberts
Tami Sue Roberts was born in Wayne, Michigan on February 8, 1986. She was one of two children born to Penny Jo (Woods) Roberts Holcomb. She was also raised by her stepfather: Michael Joseph Holcomb.
As a young girl, Tami loved to dance. She displayed much natural talent, performing competitively for some time. She was also active in gymnastics. Tami attended Lincoln Consolidated Schools in Ypsilanti through the 10th grade where she participated in cheer. She later earned her GED through adult education.
Tami was a joyful person. She had so much energy, always having something to say to lighten the mood or to make others laugh. As a teen, Tami had a wonderful group of friends for many years. Tami was very close to each of them, and it seemed that they constantly played off of each other. She was blessed to have given life to two children.
Tami Sue Roberts, age 37 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday; February 15, 2023, at St. Joseph Mercy Medical Center in Ypsilanti. Her passing was preceded by her maternal grandmother: Dorothy Sue Woods.
To cherish her memory she leaves her mother and stepfather: Penny Jo and Michael Joseph Holcomb; one daughter: Jayla Renee Holcomb Monroe; a brother: Christopher Joseph Webb of Monroe; and a maternal grandfather: Joe Woods of Monroe.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday; February 22, 2023 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s with Reverend Matt Foley pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
