Obituary of Phyllis Marie Boudrie
Phyllis Marie Braden was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 26, 1954. She was the second of four daughters born from the union of Dewey “Kyle” Braden and Rosemarie A. (Spain) Braden. She attended Monroe Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1972.
She married Michael Boudrie on July 5, 1980 and the couple was blessed with two children. For several years the family made their home in Tennessee, however they eventually returned back to Monroe. Phyllis loved children and took a position as a Teacher’s Aide with Monroe Public Schools in 1999. She retired in 2017 after eighteen years of service.
Phyllis was gentle and kind with a caregiver’s heart. She was quiet and soft-spoken. She lived her life by faith. For many years she was a devoted member of Union Street Missionary Baptist Church.
More than anything, Phyllis loved to spend time with family. She considered herself extremely fortunate to have grandchildren and cherished all the memories she made with each of them. Another of her favorite pastimes was Buncho night with the girls. Many laughs were had during their spirited games as they each took turns hosting.
Phyllis Marie Boudrie, age 68, of Monroe passed away peacefully under hospice care on Tuesday; January 3, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton. Her passing was preceded by her loving father: Dewey "Kyle" Braden in 2003 and a beloved sister: Lynette Braden in 2016.
To cherish her memory, she leaves two children: Justin (Sara) Boudrie of San Jose, California and Jennifer Boudrie (Ethan Drouillard) of Dearborn; her mother: Rosemarie A.
